Who is eligible for Wiluna Trust assistance?

To be eligible for assistance you must meet certain criteria:

  • be a confirmed beneficiary of The Wiluna Peoples Trust

  • meet the specified criteria & policy set by the Wiluna Peoples Trust Martu advisory committee

Our Assistance Programs

Business Development/Support

Written proposals to be presented and considered by Trustee on receipt of beneficiary application.

Community Projects

Written proposals to be presented and considered by Trustee on receipt of beneficiary application.

Education & Training

Education fees and/or costs associated with education to a set amount per annum to assist with children’s education or further education of beneficiaries.

Funerals

Funeral fees and/or costs associated with a Wiluna Martu beneficiary funeral to a set amount per annum to assist with funeral costs.

Lore & Culture

To assist Martu Men and Women with Lore & Culture events as approved by senior Martu elders.

Sports & Recreation

Supporting community clubs & sports associations with costs associated for sporting events.

Health & Wellbeing

Health & wellbeing costs to a set amount per annum to assist with beneficiary’s specialist appointments & consultation.

Memorial Funds

In development with The Wiluna Peoples Trust advisory committee.

White Goods

White goods for households in Wiluna regional/remote communities such as fridges, washing machines, air conditioning units to a set amount per annum to assist beneficiaries.

Housing

Housing expenses/costs associated with living expenses such as electricity, gas, rent to a set amount per annum to assist beneficiaries.

Medical

Medical costs to a set amount per annum to support beneficiaries to attend medical appointments in metro areas from regional remote communities.

Please note: cash payments to beneficiaries are not permitted.  Approved assistance is supplied in the form of payment to suppliers on behalf of the applicant to support their approved request.
