Wiluna People’s Trust
Established in July 2004, the Wiluna People’s Trust plays a pivotal role in managing the financial resources associated with the Wiluna Martu Native Title Determination Area.
The Wiluna People’s Trust was first created to promote and support the independence and autonomy of the Wiluna Martu peoples by providing resources, services, and opportunities that empower them to make decisions regarding their community and its people.
The Wiluna People’s Trust manages the funds received from various sources to improve community health, education, and cultural and economic initiatives. This involves budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
It ensures that funds are distributed fairly and in accordance with the decisions of the Native Title Holders. This includes, but is not limited to, funding community projects and supporting cultural and social programs.
The Wiluna People’s Trust is essential in guaranteeing that financial resources are managed responsibly and used effectively to benefit the Wiluna Martu peoples.
